Breastfeeding & Lactation Support
Breastfeeding is a wonderful way to nourish and bond with your baby, but that doesn’t mean it always comes easily. Many parents experience questions or challenges along the way. At Medical Associates, Jamie McAnelly, NP, an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), is here to provide personalized support for you and your baby.
Support at Every Stage
- Prenatal – Learn what to expect, explore whether breastfeeding is right for your family, and get answers to your questions before baby arrives.
- Early Days – Establish breastfeeding, troubleshoot common challenges, and set the foundation for a positive experience.
- Infancy – Understand normal feeding patterns as your baby grows and develops.
- Returning to Work – Create a tailored plan so you can continue breastfeeding while balancing your schedule.
We recommend a lactation visit when your baby is four to seven days old and again around two weeks of age to ensure a healthy start for both baby and parent.
