Inspire® Therapy

Many people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) find that using a CPAP machine is challenging or uncomfortable, which can make consistent treatment difficult. Inspire® therapy offers an alternative approach, one that provides effective airway support without a mask or hose.

Inspire therapy uses a small implant, a handheld remote, and a convenient app, allowing you to control your OSA therapy from the palm of your hand.

How Does Inspire Therapy Work?

When you fall asleep, the muscles in your throat, including your tongue, naturally relax. For people with OSA, this relaxation causes the tongue to fall back and block the airway.

Instead of using forced air like a CPAP machine, Inspire works inside your body. The implant monitors your breathing and delivers gentle pulses that move your tongue forward, keeping the airway open so you can breathe regularly and sleep soundly.

  • The implant keeps your airway open throughout the night
  • The handheld Inspire® remote turns therapy on and off when you’re ready to sleep
  • The Inspire® app tracks sleep goals and lets you securely share data with your provider
