"After eye dilation, I was forgotten in the dilation waiting area. After 2 hours of waiting, I asked the technician how much longer I would have to wait. She checked, then returned and said they were waiting for a room but I was next in line. Three minutes later, I was brought into an exam room. Dr Sleep immediately apologized for the 2 hour delay, saying the staff had forgotten me. I don't blame Dr Sleep, at least he was honest. The technician had not been honest. She had tried to hide that I had been forgotten. I blame the staff for sloppy patient care. To not be totally honest with a patient is wrong, and very poor business practice. // Normally I would not wait for 2 hours before asking about an exam delay. But I had called at 8 am due to a sudden vision change, and gotten a 2:30 pm same day appointment. (Kudos to Medical Associates for that.) I thought perhaps I was being worked into a busy patient schedule. But no, I was just forgotten by inattentive staff."

"Today I had a field of vision test which I have had before. It was administered by a very helpful technician named Marcia, I think. She carefully explained what the whole test was like, how long it would take, and how the lights would flash and I would click the button when I saw them. She gave me a choice of wearing an eye patch or an adhesive patch--having a choice in the matter was nice! During the test, she gave encouragement and let me know when I was half-way through the test and when I was nearly done. I found it was much easier to concentrate and keep going when she was so supportive, even when I clicked the button by accident. I did not feel hurried, worried, or uncomfortable while taking the test. I had my best field of vision results today, and I believe it was due to Marcia's excellent administration of the test. Great job!"
