"Dr. Hughes was rude and disrespectful to my Mom. When she came into the room she said "What you can't get in the chair today. My back hurts and I can't bend over." I told her my Mom just got out of the hospital with pneumonia and has congestive heart failure so it was too hard for her to get out of the wheelchair today. She barely talked to my mom when she cut her four toenails. The rest of my Mom's toenails have been removed so she only has to cut four toenails. The whole appointment with the doctor was under five minutes and she said we could take the form out to the front desk and make a follow up appointment. I feel she shouldn't treat people like this especially the older population who are more vulnerable and have multiple health issues. You never know what is going on with your patients and I feel the doctor should be there to help others and not complain about themselves. "I had a really sore toe. It was hard to tell exactly where all the pain was coming from. She did an ingrown toenail on the one side, but did not look at the other side. And I fear that the other side is just as much part of the problem. So I still have the same pain, but only more so on the other side. So I was not completely, so I still have the same problem as when I was there. Thank you."

"My insurance permits toenail trim every 2 months. When mentioned Dr. Hughes responded that doesn't mean I can get this done this often and scheduled me for 3 months, whatever that meant. She stated that trims likely will be limited next year to 4. I am scheduled with a technician next. My wife had a trim the same day, different doc and received different info. Very inconsistent. I will be calling MA to determine what exactly is the program."

"Dr. Hughes was really rude to me and I have asked her several times that I would like to go to Iowa City because I have this bleeding ulcer on the bottom of my foot and it's not healing. It's been going on for about a year now. And so I asked her if I could go to Iowa City, if she'd refer me. First thing she said was, we don't really need a referral. You can just call them. And I said, then you can, do you wanna go down in billing and you can sit on the phone for an hour and a half and wait to talk to your insurance company?" And I said, why are you being so sarcastic? I mean, honest to Pete, of course I'm not gonna sit there for an hour. And then she said, well, I asked her if she would cut my toenails, and she said, well, does your insurance pay for cutting your toenails? Now, I have been seeing Dr. Hughes for years, and every year, she cut her every like,"

"Oh, this is [REDACTED]. My visit went very well. I got in at a really good time. I didn't take long to see the doctor. She looked it over to find out, explaining how it looked and what she would like to do next. And then when I left, I didn't have an appointment on Thursday I could make, but they were able to open an appointment up on Wednesday, which was really good because I had to drive myself. My wife doesn't trust my driving. because I had a brain tumor a while back. But anyway, they were very courteous and very accommodating. So I was very happy with the service thus far. Thank you. "The appt. was to have a thick toenail cut off. The appointment wasn't for a couple of weeks. During that time I found a heavy duty toenail cutter. I still kept the appointment to have the doctor look at my toe and tell me what I should be doing about it and I had another toe. I wanted her to tell me why it was lavender but she explained to me why and it's not anything that needs any concern. She said I could return and have an assistant cut my toes in like three months if necessary, however now that I have the heavy duty toenail cutters, I might not need to return."

"She spent no time with us.. We told her that he had ingrown toenails. It took her all of 90 seconds to clip his big toes and go down the sides for the ingrown toenails which were not taken out... Leaving the office he says my toes are still killing me...."

"The doctor was running a little late on appointments due to a surgery that day that started and ran late. The receptionists was very good about telling patients of the delay. Both the nurse and doctor were apologetic. This was not necessary as they were only fifteen minutes late and the surgery was more important than my visit."
