She said it was policy. As a self-pay patient who drove 60 miles roundtrip to have my eyes checked, I think this is a customer unfriendly policy."

"I pre-registered online & it told me to go directly to the vision center because I had done that. When I came in and proceeded to the vision center the 2 gals at the front reception were a bit rude. Informing me what time it was and I was 10 minutes early. I was full aware of what time it was and what time my appointment was. Just took me back a bit typically greeted very friendly by reception."

"Hello, I am an electric wheelchair user and I found that the equipment was not fully accessible. I wasn't able to actually get close enough to the machine for the doctor to properly evaluate me, so I don't think I fully got the exam that I should have because of that. So if there could be some effort to be made to make the facility more accessible, especially the equipment that's used, that would be great. Bye."

I had my children with me and I felt like the nurse and doctor had no patience and judged me negatively for bringing them with me to my appointment. The bedside manner of the optometry staff was less personable than previous visits with the general practice staff. Most of my questions were given one/two word responses or you'll have to schedule a different type of appointment to answer that. Overall, it addressed the main issue that I came for, so it was productive. It was just more formal and less empathetic than I am used to seeing there."
