"My visit was an annual follow-up to my Winter, 202 heart attack. I was surprised that I was told to come to the appointment, since I had not done the blood work that it is based upon, since it is mainly based on the appointment with my primary provider. I'd had to miss my appointment with my primary provider, so didn't do the bloodwork. I was too to follow through with this appointment, and when the bloodwork is done next month, it will be looked over and if anything needs addressed, I'll be called back. Why not just postpone this appointment until later on next month when the bloodwork is done--when the necessary information is available, and I don't have to pay for two appointments?"

"Two parts. 1.) The entire process for the stress test was first rate. I needed the Definity injection for clearer resolution of the ultrasound. That is when the second part of this began. 2.) I think I was doing very well on the tread mill. I began to feel a bit light headed. I believe that was from the Definity injection beginning to show signs of an allergic reaction. As I completed the tread mill another injection was administered to get me to the table for more ultrasound reading while the heart was at work. Then I rested a few minutes, another injection was administered for a final ultrasound reading when the heart was more back to normal. That was when I mentioned my gums feeling numb, (like I had Novocain). Then my tongue, lips, face and neck began to swell. The team immediately summoned Dr. Rami Eltibi. He took control of the situation. The team did an excellent job of stabilizing me. Also Dr Eltibi kept me in the loop to make me as comforted as possible. My airways had narrowed significantly, but Dr assured me my oxygen level was good. I was taken to ER to finish my recovery. All went well. Thank you Dr Rami Eltibi and staff for handling my situation with speed and professionalism. [REDACTED] My biggest stress point is that patients should be tested PRIOR to their stress test for any allergic reaction to the Definity injection. My result could have been very different. In my opinion, whoever manufactures the injection should come up with a allergy test either at home or at their providers office, just in case it is needed for the Ultrasound."
