Also when I came back from X-ray to let them know I was back, the receptionist was on her cellphone and didn't even notice that I was standing there waiting for at least 2 minutes."

"I when to urgent care because of knee pain. If was terminated to be gout, but I have had a history of gout. I was prescribed 3 table of Colchicine ..6mg and 5 days of Prednisone 20mg. We discussed 20 tablets of Colchicine, that I have had in the past for the exit time. I thought we had an agreement, but no. Yes, I haven had gout in a while, but when I do get it comes in wave. I have to figure out what has changed in my diet, and I don't away get it right, so having pain pill and extra gout pills is a must. I live over an hour away. Plus, this is just another way to make more money, be requiring multiple doctor visits, plus I have been waiting 3 months to get into my GP."

Props to the receptionists who found my story humorous (I had a bat flying in my bedroom...rabies?) and the doctor who found the info/gave me supplies for collecting the bat so I could bring it back to be curried over to the state health office. The receptions over in lab were also very helpful/surprised when I told them what I had in my bag and needed to hand it off to someone. It made for a very interesting Thursday morning for everyone!"

"I went in for a sinus infection and I requested to have the five-day Z-Pak because that's what I usually get prescribed when I come in for sinus infections which I get every three to six months. She told me that if I went into a nose, throat, or EMT that they would laugh at my face if I requested a five-day Z-Pak which I thought was very disrespectful. So with that being said I would not come back to this to this provider."

"This was the first time that I had an awful visit to acute care. First of all, I walked in and I had hurt my back. I pulled a muscle in my back. But I was in enough pain and I thought, well, there's only one other person here. That's good. Then I should get in pretty soon. I got back in to see the nurse probably in about maybe 10, 15 minutes, which I thought was kind of a long wait considering there was one person in the waiting room and I think the nurse or the girls told me they had two patients back there. Anyway, then I got the nurse came in and did her job. She was very good and friendly. Then I had to wait 35 minutes before Dr. Schaefer came in the room. And I find that deplorable that I had to wait so long when the nurse said she'll be in in a few minutes. So I don't think I'll go back to acute care. I think I'll go to my own provider. But anyway, this was kind of short notice. The pain was so bad. I thought I better go. So that's why I went to acute care."

"I felt like she thought I was trying to get pain meds, which she said Urgent care doesn't prescribe there. I had severe back and abdominal pain with a history of Diverticulitis. She said she could run tests, but it was getting late in the day, so she sent me to ER. I waited two hours to get in an ex room, and decided to leave, because some patients had been waiting 6-7 hours ahead of me. I would be more comfortable at my home!"

"All the staff in this department were courteous. Dr. Shafer had my file and knew my history before she came in to talk to me. She told me she would send a report to OB/GYN and I needed to see them the next day. Any one on that staff. The receptionist there said they did not get the request and said the only slot available was not until Wed. or wait until April. She was very unfriendly. I called acute are and they informed me the request was sent and was received. It is hard for me to believe with 5 female doctors there I could not be seen on Monday when I am bleeding heavily."

"I came in for a few things. One of which was some help with my high blood pressure. Got told to go somewhere else. Also came in thinking I may have a kidney or bladder infection. Told them I have been having alot of pain. Did urine test and no sign of infection. When I asked what may be causing the pain she said to alternate ibuprofen and Tylenol and to use a heating pad. DID NOT even try to figure out the issue."
