I might have given the office desk girls higher of a rating than and what they deserved. I think everything with my experience is perfect, with the exception sometimes they are too busy or too chatty to check me in. But right when I get back there in the room, the nurses are always wonderful. Dr. Arensdorff is wonderful. And you can tell that he really cares. So just wanted to leave that feedback. She kept things calm and I was appreciative of this because it is so difficult for me to go through. I even took some anxiety medication, and still was very anxious. Dr. Arensdorff was the same way, very calm and patient. Talked to me in a way that was so understanding and explained what he was doing and what would happen next. I am so grateful for this team!!! By the time I left, I had even survived an ultrasound and I am so sorry I forgot her name, I think it was Brenda! I used to work calmly and patiently with some clients and I know exactly what it takes to be that support person and work them through difficult challenges. "I waited a half hour after initially being taken into the exam room and the initial exam before the optometrist came in. No one came to say what was happening or to check on me. I have never had an eye exam that lasted over 2 hours like this did. I did not feel some of the conversation between the receptionist and another person in the front office was inappropriate in front of a patient."

"My appointment was at 1110. While I was seen by the nurse right away for the initial exam, I waited for OVER 30 min to finally be seen by Dr Arensdorff. Then after his exam and he put the eye drops in, I waited again for at least another 20-25 min. I realize you need some time for the dilation to work but an eye appt from start to finish should take close to 2 hours, that is ridiculous."

"I did not realize that my eyes would be dilated and I had never had that done before. While the staff said I would be able to drive myself, I would have preferred to be told about the dilation before the appointment so I could have planned for a ride and not to go back to work after since I couldn't read for the rest of the day. In a nutshell, it would be good to tell people that their eyes will be dilated when they make the appointment and provide context for what that means for their ability to work and safely drive the rest of the day."

Unfortunately, the length of time to have annual checkup completed seems to be longer than necessary with fairly long spans of time just sitting and waiting. The checkup appointment was scheduled for 1:30 and we did not get done until 3:20, almost 2 hours. My mother (the patient) is 92 years old and an appointment of that length after having to be driven 60 miles to get there is very difficult."

Although, I will be okay with getting new glasses ... they will be a better fit because I learned from my first experience with frames. Otherwise, the doctor's "bedside manner" is quite exemplary.
