"I came in knowing I had covid and listed many (all?) of the symptoms. As a high risk (CHF) first time contraction of the virus, I was expecting more than I received: a covid swab confirming what I knew. When the call came in telling me I was positive, the person told me how expensive paxlovid is, but that was irrelevant because it's contraindicated with CHF. With all my symptoms, CHF and a 1st time positive result, I thought I should have received better advice than "watch for changes especially pneumonia." When I took my temp at 10:00 pm I had 103.8 temp and headed immediately to the emergency room where ungodly wait time caused me to detour to [REDACTED]. Why couldn't I have been admitted in timely manner at [REDACTED] and started the antibiotics and antiviral remdesivir a day sooner is my point. Eventually admitted to [REDACTED] with septic shock and dangerously low blood pressure. I admit that I probably didn't emphasize how bad I felt as I was learning how the infection caused cycles of highs and lows and I had hoped to gut it out and follow the wait and see advice I received."

"I have a herniated disc in my neck which I have a MRI on file for. I was experiencing a lot of pain which I have dealt with before and know it is temporary from when I get a muscle spasm in my neck. I was unable to get into a pcp so I came here as directed. This was not an emergency situation and I needed some kind of pain med or relief for a day or two. I never ask for pain meds and felt like I was stereotyped as a person who is an addict. I was told to go to the hospital if I am in that much pain. I never specified what I needed nor did it have to be something controlled. She never went over options for pain meds and just said she cant give them to me. I had to continue to advocate for myself to get my needs met. Then she said she would prescribe me tramadol, I did not even know what that was or why this was the best option for me as I was desperate for relief as I had already taken 800 mg of ibuprofen and a cyclobenzaprine which i am precribed and was still in pain. My neck was extremely bulging and swollen from the muscle spasm. I would have like this dr to be more compassionate and go over more options other than a steroid and a muscles relaxer and help me without making me feel like I need to go to the hospital for care and am a pill seeker. I am a 41 years old teacher with a good reputation in my community."

"This Dr. was most definitely straight on! She sent me to [REDACTED] ER which was a blessing as Dr. Roling confirmed that I had diverticulitis that perpetrated and had I not come in when I did things could have turned much worse very quickly, I was admitted and given antibiotics and will need surgery when infection is completely healed, I would highly recommend this acute care doctor!"

"I have seen Kala before. She listened to my concerns about shoulder pain which was hard to explain. We talked and she listened carefully. She had me go to x-ray, checked to see if I could tolerate Prednosone and explained how it worked. Also tried to get me in to Physical Medicine sooner than later. It would take weeks and I am taking meds and have appt. She let me know what may happen w/PT, MRI. Such a great experience again. Thank you."

"I was told I had a little bit of fluid in my left ear, well I would have thought I would have been prescribed antibiotics to clear it as there is possibly an infection. I was given no prescription and was told to see ENT about a hearing test, and to take an antihistamine or some Flonase if my nose has been running."

I wish there was a way medical associates could build a larger parking lot for acute care patients just outside the sliding doors. Maybe a parking ramp. I had to park half way across the main lot above and walk down the outdoor steps."

"This meeting with the Doctor was fine. It was on a Saturday so the referral to urology had to wait until Monday. I was told to see a urologist as soon as my 10 day medication was gone but when urology department called the best date available was April 11, eight days after I have taken my last pill. This is a wide spread problem for Medical Associates. I had the same problem when trying to get an appointment with [REDACTED] a few years ago and also having it now with reappointments in the podiatry department. My wife has serious a serious fungus problem and needs to be seen every two months but when we get to the appointment station she can get at best a three month appointment and is now on a if someone cancels they will call. It appears to me that Medical Associates has more patients than Doctors to serve those patients. I am looking forward to a response. [REDACTED]"

And all they said was they'd give me off until Wednesday. So I had to use all my vacation instead of my sick time because I had to be off four days in order to use my sick time. They didn't take into consideration that I'm 68 years old and I don't bounce back as quickly as someone that's not. I felt that they should have given me a little extra time."

"I came in with a internal pain under my right rib cage. Kala knew the possible severe outcomes this pain could be associated with and after carefully listening to me proscribed lab & xrays needed to help her determine a possible cause. When she had the results she had found that none of our worries were substantiated and probably a muscular issue she suggested I contact my Physician to perhaps consider PT. But cautioned that if things did not improve make sure to return. A very well done professional examination. And, of course, a positive outcome made both of us happy. Also, everyone from Reception to scheduling to lab & x-ray were polite and quite professional. Thanks all."

"I don't particularly care that you have to go from acute care to the lab to get lab work, but you have to check in at the lab desk, which is 10 feet away from the acute care desk. Why can't acute care just forward your lab work to the lab? Because I forgot to stop at the lab and I was sitting there waiting, waiting, and waiting for a long time. I don't know. That's the only complaint I have, and it's partially my fault. Thanks."

"I didn't find out anything in regards to my current health condition. They listened to me and didn't do any testing, instead sent me to the ER. I understand I have a heart condition but I knew I wasn't having a heart attack. I felt she should have tested me first to see if I had any type of pneumonia or bronchitis of some sort. I didn't feel like I needed to go to ER. Er Did an EKG and sent me to lobby where I sat. I finally left as I wasn't feeling well anyway. Thank you"

"She did well by checking to see if I had a referral with dermatology, but she did nothing when it came to actually looking at my skin and actually like looking at it and looking at my scalp. It wasn't even addressed. She just gave me a prescription to Ketosol shampoo, which I've had in the past and it's not working. And she didn't even look at my scalp. When I had said I had, you know, microscopic or, or stuff that was very hard to see issues on my scalp and she didn't even bother to take a look at it, which was, yeah, irritating."
