She became part of our lives during my second pregnancy, and though she wasn't originally my OB, I firmly believe she came into my life for a reason. I delivered my son in just 29 minutes, and eight weeks later, I developed sepsis. During that scary time, Dr. Odonnell went above and beyond-not just medically, but personally. She came to the hospital just to check on me, and it was in that moment that I knew she was someone special. Something told me to continue my care with her, and I'm so grateful I did. When we became pregnant with our third child, we were devastated to experience a miscarriage. Dr. Odonnell's bedside manner during that time was nothing short of incredible. She held space for my heartache, understood my fears about undergoing a D&C, and never left my side-literally holding my hand until I was under anesthesia. Her compassion meant the world to me. Eventually, we were blessed with our rainbow baby. During the pregnancy, we learned she would be born with a cleft lip. I'll never forget the calm and reassurance Dr. O'Donnell gave us. She gently shared that she too was born with a birth defect-and in that moment, I knew everything would be okay. Our daughter not only had a cleft lip, but was born with a complete knot in her cord and wasn't breathing at birth. Dr. O'Donnell wasn't there physically for that birth but I know she was checking in as soon as she could. When our fourth baby came into the world, Dr. O'Donnell once again provided the most incredible care. Every step of the way, she was thoughtful, attentive, and fully present. Most recently, I've been facing new health concerns-experiencing a low heart rate and heavy cycles. And even now, Dr. O'Donnell continues to listen to me with empathy, take my concerns seriously, and offer thorough, thoughtful care. She has walked with me through joy, heartbreak, fear, and healing. She's not only a phenomenal doctor-she's someone who truly sees her patients, treats them with dignity, and gives her heart to what she does. Dr. O'Donnell deserves all the recognition in the world. My family is forever grateful for her."
