"This was my first appointment with anyone in oncology after (1) a biopsy, (2) receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer and (3) having a lumpectomy. That was all handled by Surgery. My surgeon had said I would probably begin the weeks of radiation therapy four weeks post-op. At this appointment, which was five weeks post-op, we discussed whether I needed drug therapy and/or chemo. It had nothing to do with radiation, and I had to wait for this provider to make that referral and for radiation oncology to call and set up a consultation. Given that so many women with breast cancer face both treatment possibilities, I would have expected both appointments to be scheduled and coordinated with one another. It feels like I'm navigating through specialists (each of whom gives good care), rather than receiving coordinated care. That disappoints me."

"I had to wait 5 minutes to ck in the registration desk only had one person working and there were 4 other people waiting behind me.This made me late for my appointment after I had Radiation.This seems to me a trend each time I come that registration people are having long conversations and making people wait.Maybe there needs to be another person to answer the phone so registration can do there job more efficiently!"
