"Yes, I found the doctor to be very helpful and he was the day after my surgery. I was very surprised that it was a different doctor than the one who did the surgery, but he was very easy to work with and I found him helpful. However, my vision has not improved and I still have trouble after the cataract surgery. So everybody was very nice and helpful, but I'm still worried about my vision."

"As a long time customer/patient of MA there was a time I would not have given such high marks to the staff. They were usually curt and condescending and disengaged. On the hand providers, in my experience, have always been respectful and concerned for my wellbeing. I'm glad MA righted the ship with ancillary staff at reception and nursing. I've long commented the effects of the first line of personnel you see at the Dr's office and how they can cast a negative or positive cloud over the entire experience. At least in my experience, the Dr. cannot make up for a negative staff experience. Good job."

"Up until now I have always been seen by an ophthalmologist for my vision exams and would always prefer that. Apparently that is not an option at your facility for some reason. To me it seems like adding another layer, and longer delays in arranging care options. Dr. Auer was very good and I have no objection or problem with his care. I just have a problem with not being able to see an ophthalmologist at my check-up."

He listened to me give mymedical history and noted an issue that he wanted to monitor by taking pictures and checking again next year. After viewing the pictures, he called me himself and explained why he wasn't comfortable with what the pictures showed and got me scheduled for further testing the same week. He was very thorough in his phone call as well. Given my history with breast cancer, he said he was going to research the meds I take for it in depth as well as reach out to Dr Engelman to work together on a treatment plan, if needed. I have full confidence in him that he'll get to the root of this issue. Given my health issues I've had over the last year, I feel Dr Auer is going to rise to the top of my most-liked doctors!"

"The people registering me have always been excellent but now that you have that super efficient and easy confirmation and check in systems, I don't interact with them. You didn't ask, but you have a very good phone system as well. I used to mostly get my care from grand river and have been shifting my care to medical associates. Grand river has you on hold forever before you can even talk to an operator. Then they take a message IF the person is there that day. Otherwise you have to call back on a day they're around, and there's never been a guarantee of a return call. I've had to recall many times. Medical Associates lets you call the department you need, leave a number for a call back, and sometimes return the call with the information I need almost immediately. That's how it should be. The new owners of Grand River have only made things worse. I only have 2 doctors that I still see there and I'm planning on changing my care to MA 100% soon. I've seen maybe 10 doctors at MA and only had one I wouldn't see again and another 2 I'm not wild about. Every one else has been excellent, with nurses and other staff just as outstanding. Can't say the same about GR."
