"After the initial questions, the doctor performed palpations, had me lie on the table and pressed on parts of my abdomen. I wish that he had told me what he was looking for. If the idea was to press to see if there was pain in a region, I think it would have been helpful if, after the examination, he had said, " I did the procedure to see if there were any tender areas that might merit further investigation. Since there were none, it seems that all is well." If that was not the purpose of the procedure, that still reinforces the idea that it would have been good to talk with me about it. Otherwise, I had a good patient - doctor experience."
