Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology in 2006 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008, both from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa. After graduating, she worked as a pediatric physical therapist in the Dubuque area for 4 years. She has been with Medical Associates Clinic since 2012.

Amanda earned her Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency from Emory University in 2018 and is a member of the Vestibular Education Disorders Association. She is certified in the Astym method for soft tissue mobilization and is also an advanced credentialed clinical instructor through the APTA. Other areas of continuing education focus include functional dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy (BFR), various pediatric physical therapy topics, concussion rehabilitation, and kinesio taping.

Amanda was born and raised in Dubuque. She still lives in this area with her husband and three children. Her interests include traveling, attending her kids' sporting events and staying active herself through various fitness programs.

"When you text out registration information, please remind the patient to bring the Doctors referral letter if they are referred for PT. I didnt have mine and I did not like the reception I received from the PT assistant and PT caregiver. They somewhat made me uncomfortable telling me that they could treat me once only without the referral. I would have walked out after the first stiff reminder except I needed treatment. I suggested that the reminder for the referral should be included in the text registration and their response was that they had nothing to do with the online registration."

"The overall experience was great. However, my appointment was originally scheduled 2 months out but I was able to get in sooner because of a cancellation. Hopefully if this was the result of a staffing shortage, it will be a temporary problem."

"On Thursday 22 Jan - 2026 I received a call at 7:17 AM telling me they had a cancellation and would I like to come in at 3:15 this afternoon. And that was all the info provided. no names as to who I would be seeing, no place of the appointment. At 3:00 P M I reported to the PT lab at [REDACTED]. Only to find out the appointment was for the West campus. After many phone calls I reported to the West campus. Why didn't the 7AM caller inform me???"

"You might want to do something about the process for changing appointments if a provider is going to be out. I received too many phone calls about this and even still received a text message reminding me about the appt after it was canceled. The appt itself was great. Just that process didn't seem to make a lot of sense and spent too much time on the phone with people"
