The Medical Associates Department of Internal Medicine provides an internist who subspecializes in Pulmonology, the field of medicine related to lung disease.

Our pulmonologist has a special interest in all areas of diseases of the chest and lungs, including evaluation of asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive lung disease, chronic bronchitis, interstitial diseases of the lung, cough, shortness of breath, pulmonary hypertension, pleural diseases, assistance with oxygen supplementation, evaluation of abnormal chest x-rays, and pulmonary rehabilitation. Pulmonary rehabilitation is available in cooperation with Mercy Health Center. Inpatient and critical care management is also available.

Complete evaluation of the chest is available including bronchoscopy, pleural biopsy, thoracentesis, chest x-ray, CT examination, pulmonary function testing, and cardiopulmonary stress testing with metabolic cart.

Dr. Janes is Board Certified in sleep medicine and provides diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders including sleep apnea. Examination of abnormalities of sleep is available with overnight trend oximetry and polysomnography.
