Ophthalmology - Eye Care

We provide total eye care with medical and surgical treatment.

The Department of Ophthalmology provides total eye care to the tri-state area. Medical and surgical treatment for glaucoma, cataracts, crossed-eyes, age related macular degeneration, macular holes, retinal detachments, as well as other diseases of the eye are offered. Recent advancements in detection and diagnosis of eye disease are utilized in the Clinic. Complete routine examinations of adults and children are available as well.

Special Services:
Eye surgery performed by the Department's five board certified ophthalmologists include small incision/phacoemulsification cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. Other types of surgery performed include corneal transplantation and refractive surgery, plastic surgery of the eyelids, corrective muscle surgery for crossed-eyes, and glaucoma surgery. Advanced laser surgical procedures aid in the treatment of many patients. In addition, contact lens fitting and an optical dispensary are offered for our patients' convenience.
