New Provider Joins Medical Associates Physical Therapy

Medical Associates Clinic is pleased to announce the arrival of Ryan Hermsen, PT, to our Physical Therapy Department.

Ryan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. He is also certified in dry needling and holds a Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy.

Most recently, he worked as a Physical Therapist at McFarland Clinic in Ames, IA, and previously at Athletico in Urbandale, IA. He is passionate about helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries through tailored rehabilitation programs that emphasize strength, mobility, and injury prevention.

As a member of the Medical Associates Physical Therapy Department, Ryan evaluates conditions and designs personalized treatment plans to reduce pain and enhance strength, posture, flexibility, and movement. With a specialization in return-to-running protocols, he supports patients as they safely transition back to running or other activities after injury.

Our Physical Therapy Department is a team with extensive years of experience, as well as a wide range of specialties and advanced certifications. Our therapists practice in collaboration with referring healthcare providers from other disciplines to thoroughly assess and treat conditions.
