New Provider Joins Medical Associates Gastroenterology

Medical Associates Clinic is pleased to announce the arrival of Allie Thornburg, PA-C, to our Gastroenterology Department.

Allie received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA, and Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology, Minor in Psychology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.

Most recently, she worked as a Physician Assistant at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, IA, where she also previously served as a Nursing Assistant.

As a member of the Medical Associates Gastroenterology Department, Allie provides care for liver conditions, including metabolic dysfunction, alcohol-associated liver disease, autoimmune diseases, hepatitis B and C, and liver lesions. Allie also focuses on digestive disorders such as GERD, bowel conditions, colon and gastric polyps, difficulty swallowing, esophageal conditions, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Our Gastroenterology Department consists of a highly experienced team specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of digestive diseases. Our team works closely with our other medical and surgical practitioners for a coordinated approach to patient care.
