Melissa Dodds, MD, Becomes Board-Certified in Mohs Surgery

Medical Associates Clinic is pleased to announce that Melissa Dodds, MD, has successfully passed the 2024 Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS) Exam, also known as Mohs Surgery, earning Board Certification in this subspecialty through the American Board of Dermatology.

Certification by the American Board of Dermatology is a significant achievement that represents the highest standard in Dermatology with demonstration of clinical judgment, skills, and attitudes essential for excellent patient care.

Dr. Dodds joined Medical Associates Clinic in August 2023, where she provides quality dermatology care for a range of skin conditions including acne, warts, rashes, hair loss, birthmarks, and skin cancer for patients of all ages. She also specializes in Mohs surgery, a procedure designed to treat skin cancer while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. This method has the lowest recurrence rate among skin cancer treatment options.

She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL, and has research fellowship training from the University of Minnesota, Department of Dermatology, Division of Pediatric Dermatology in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Dodds also completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Department of Dermatology in Madison, WI.
