 The
Tri-State Surgery Center is the region's first freestanding facility
devoted exclusively to outpatient surgery.
Located at 1500 Associates Drive in Dubuque, Iowa, The Center initially
opened as a Mercy service in July of 1998. It became the Tri-State
Surgery Center, jointly owned and operated by Medical Associates
Clinic and Mercy Medical Center, in November of 1998.
The Center consists of three operating rooms and two special procedure
rooms.
The Tri-State Surgery Center provides a variety of outpatient procedures
for patients of all ages. Areas of specialties include ophthalmology,
orthopedics, gastroenterology, gynecology, podiatry, plastic surgery,
ear, nose and throat, and general surgeries not requiring overnight
stays.
An estimated 5,000 procedures can be performed annually at the
Tri-State Surgery Center.
Edwin Castaneda, MD, serves as Medical Director for the Tri-State
Surgery Center. Mary Ryan is the Center's Administrator.
Hours of operation for the facility are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m .
