The Department of Surgery provides surgical and consultative services.

Special Services:
Our surgeons are certified by the American Board of Surgery. They have specialized skills relating to diagnosis and operative management in the following areas: the gastrointestinal tract including the small and large intestines, stomach and esophagus, the abdomen and its contents, breast diseases, skin and soft tissue, thyroid and parathyroid, venous disorders, cancer surgery, comprehensive management of trauma, complete care of the critically ill, endoscopy and a wide range of laparoscopic procedures. Services include VNUS closure procedure for varicose veins and stereotactic breast biopsy.
