Research Center
The Clinical Research Center at Medical Associates Clinic is a
cooperative effort to administer nationwide research for pharmaceutical
companies. All testing is done within the guidelines of the Federal
Food & Drug Administration in a controlled, carefully monitored
drug research program.
Drug research primarily evaluates pharmaceutical drugs as to their safety and effectiveness, and determines the appropriate dosage schedules in patients with a specific medical condition. For each drug study done, there is a principal investigator (physician) who reviews, accepts, monitors, and evaluates the study.
Participation in the program is voluntary and patients involved in the research receive treatment free of charge for the condition being studied. In recent years, Medical Associates Clinic has participated in studies which have resulted in several new drugs being introduced into the market.
