The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine provides professional
services and consultation with patients in the areas of functional
and organic mental illnesses, counseling, and treatment of behavioral
problems.
Special Services:
Our board certified psychiatrists, with support from a physician
assistant and nurse practitioners, provide a broad spectrum of services
in the areas of general, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
psychiatry.
Additionally, professional services are provided by licensed psychologists
in the areas of marriage counseling, biofeedback-relaxation techniques,
and substance abuse.
The department also provides psychological testing and patient
education with regard to coping with mental illness.
