The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery provides professional
services and consultation in the specialized areas of head and neck
surgery, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the head and neck
region of the body, hearing, and speech disorders.
Special Services:
Our board certified physicians provide medical and surgical management
of head and neck disorders including cancer surgery, ear, sinus
and throat surgery, nasal surgery, reconstructive surgery and plastic
surgery to patients who are self-referred or referred by a primary
physician.
Audiological services include assessment of hearing for patients
of all ages. Specialized assessments are also performed at the physician's
request to further study disease processes of the hearing and balance
systems. Patients found to have hearing loss that cannot be treated
through medical methods are considered for rehabilitation services.
Rehabilitation can include counseling, adaptive communication methods,
and use of hearing aids. Hearing aids are prescribed and fitted,
as well as maintained by this department.
