The Department
of Ophthalmology provides total eye care to the tri-state area.
Medical and surgical treatment for glaucoma, cataracts, crossed-eyes,
as well as other diseases of the eye are offered. Recent advancements
in detection and diagnosis of eye disease are utilized in the Clinic.
Complete routine examinations of adults and children are available
as well.

Services:
Eye surgery performed by the Department's five board certified
ophthalmologists include small incision/phacoemulsification cataract
surgery with intraocular lens implantation. Other types of surgery
performed include corneal transplantation and refractive surgery,
plastic surgery of the eyelids, corrective muscle surgery for
crossed-eyes, and glaucoma surgery. Advanced laser surgical procedures
aid in the treatment of many patients. In addition, contact lens
fitting and an optical dispensary
are offered for our patients' convenience.
