The Department of Internal Medicine provides professional
services to patients needing diagnosis, treatment, and management
of diseases and conditions related to the internal organs and systems
of the body. Internal Medicine sub-specialites include Endocrinology,
Infectious Disease, and Pulmonology.
Special Services:
The staff of board certified and board eligible internists provide
a variety of specialized medical services in all aspects of internal
medicine, including pulmonary disease, and infectious disease. Patients
can be self-referred or referred by other physicians. This department
functions as the primary physician for the majority of patients
aged 18 and over, and works closely with other departments such
as Allergy, Cardiology, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Gastroenterology,
General Surgery, Neurology, and Orthopedic Surgery, to provide comprehensive
management and care of patient health.
