The Department of Allergy provides professional services to patients
who have illnesses caused by allergic reactions.
Special Services:
The department treats diseases which can occur as a result of allergic
reactions to inhalants such as dust mites, molds, and pollens which
can cause hay fever, eye symptoms, and asthma. They also treat stinging
insect allergies and allergic reactions to foods and medications
which can be manifested in the form of hives or other skin rashes.
The physicians also provide specialized services in immunology to
alleviate the problems of patients with weakened immune systems,
such as frequent infections. The department works closely with Dermatology,
